ONE Championship returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on August 28 with ONE Friday Fights 168, featuring nine bouts across Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA. The main event will see Thailand’s Wuttikrai Wor Chakrawut face Mohammad “Prince of Persia” Habibpour in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest.


Wuttikrai enters the fight after earning a unanimous decision victory over Sonrak Fairtex at ONE Friday Fights 162. The 25-year-old Thai fighter has developed a balanced attacking style built around powerful left body kicks, straight knees and well-timed combinations. He has also recorded impressive finishes against Mohamed Taoufyq and Eh Mwi. Another victory at Lumpinee Stadium could move Wuttikrai closer to a US$100,000 ONE Championship contract and a place on the promotion’s main roster.


Habibpour presents a different kind of challenge. The 22-year-old began training with his father at the age of three and turned professional when he was only 13. After living and training in Turkey and Dubai, Habibpour moved to Thailand and now represents Team Mehdi Zatout in Pattaya. He is known for applying constant pressure behind a tight guard while attacking with punches, kicks and knees at every range.


The main event therefore brings together Wuttikrai’s timing and technical kicking against Habibpour’s aggressive forward pressure. The co-main event features another all-Thai Muay Thai contest between Pethpupa Aekpuejan and Brazil Aekmuangnon in the flyweight division.


Pethpupa trains at Superbon Training Camp and arrives with momentum after scoring a knockout victory over Wutidet Torfunfarm. Brazil, meanwhile, is looking to establish himself as one of the promotion’s leading young Thai fighters. ONE Friday Fights 168 takes place on Friday, August 28, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
